Description
8.1 L marine engine (standard or high output) (one-piece rear main seal, roller cam and roller tappets).
This engine has been professionally remanufactured to meet or
exceeds the specifications of GM OEM marine engine stock. Develops
between 370 and 375 hp for the standard HP or between 420 and 425 hp for the
high-performance version.
This 8.1 L long block will NOT work as a replacement for a 7.4 L block.
This 8.1L marine engine (standard or high output) is equipped with the following features:
GM 8.1L marine engine (standard rotation)
Standard (370-375 hp) or high output (420-425 hp) ADD $400
All the joints
Corrosion-resistant black urethane paint
Vortec cylinder heads, engine block and all internal components
Roller cam and roller pushers
Includes an engine circulation pump
Will ONLY work in existing 8.1L applications
Standard rotation ONLY
Does NOT include the 8.1 L oil pan, valve covers, and harmonic balancer
This engine block is entirely machined on our CNC machine. It features a machined crankshaft bearing and a bored cylinder with a cutting edge bearing. The block is assembled with brass plugs and has undergone a pressure test.
